Minister Édgar Vásquez said that the specific date for the resumption of activities will also be known, but he advanced that some cities will be excluded.
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Edgar Vasquez, estimated that between Wednesday 06 and Thursday 07 of May will be published of the resolutions that will establish the date of beginning of the activities and the sanitary protocols that must fulfill the restaurants to restart their work in the system of delivery and collection in the premises.
We have been receiving comments from the Ministry of Health regarding this protocol so it should be published by now. We estimate that between Wednesday and Thursday they could be ready,’ the minister said on National Radio.
Minister Vasquez said that for the resumption of activities, in different sectors, two policy documents should be published, the first of them ‘a ministerial resolution with the criteria of targeting, that is, the description of how each activity will begin, say, territorial criteria, where it will be possible to start, in some cases it will not be possible in all regions, in some districts of the provinces. Also (the specific date of the beginning of the activity will be known).
He added that the other document corresponds to ‘the sectoral health protocols that allow all workers and consumers to have a health guarantee’.
Once these two documents are issued, the companies that are in these sectors will have to send their health surveillance plan where they indicate how they will implement these protocols, the number of workers with whom they will start or what the risk of the activity is. Once they send the plans, they will receive a digital authorization and will be able to register in the SISCOVID system of the Ministry of Health’, explained the minister and added that later, when the businesses begin to operate, the inspection will begin with the support of the municipalities.
